You should see all the purple asters in my sister’s yard just off 4th street in Los Ranchos. She has allowed all the volunteers to grow – there are hundreds of blooms in the multitude of plants around the yard. She also has a small yellow flowering bush, don’t know what it is. Not counting her perennial mums, cosmos, broom corn, etc.
Today I saw a painted lady butterfly. Yesterday i saw an inch long bright red beetle flying with the long curved antennae. It was hovering around the scarlet runner bean blossoms.
